My Bad

Enlightenment, my eyes, they now see
What all this time You've wanted to teach me
You let me walk through deep and dark valleys
Moulded me into what You want me to be

Valued the wrong things, didn't know what I had
Chased after the wind, realised that was my bad
My heart now feels free, even though I'm still sad
This freedom, nothing in the world can buy that

Rejected Your love and sought after man
Forgot all Your promises, walked out of Your plan
Broke Your heart, thought it was the end
I fell and got hurt, yet You still hold my hand

Stretched me to the limits, till I almost sank
Knowing had it been easier, I'd use my own strength
Removed from my engine all that rusted and cranked
For this, dear Lord, You have my heart's highest thanks

I'll live a life worthy of Your great call
My willfulness and pride, I abandon them all
I won't look behind, will turn back no more
Because into Your arms, that's where I choose to fall

Throwing my life in reckless abandon. To You.
