View from Above

Is there no rainbow that comes after the rain?
Is there nothing to hope for at the end of it all?
I would have you know that when the hour seems darkest
These things compared to your God are insignificant and small.

Amidst the bleak clouds and the mighty winds blow
It’s hard to see sunlight when you look from below
Let His hand elevate you into the skies up above
See it from His perspective, and then you will know

That only the steadfast, deeply rooted and strong
Can stand the callous beating of the winds’ relentless rain
This is where the Lord humbles, teaches and moulds
So we depend solely on Him when our strength starts to wane

So even if there is no rainbow in sight, Jermaine
Follow through and see His sovereign plan unfold.
For after the storms, solemn tunnels and pain
Your heart will be proven, refined like pure gold
