Pan

Flying dust and homeless boys
One-handed pirates and his dirty men
Tick-tocking crocs and discarded toys
Everyone wants to be Peter Pan

Trains, planes, cars, and figurines
Bright blue skies, permanent sun-tans
Playgrounds, slides and jelly beans
Dawn till dusk with his loyal friends

Rubber bands, catapults and old-fashioned guns
Indispensable to the Lost Boy Clan
Without worries or woes, any needs or wants
Rules abolished, tall, freedom stands

The little boy wonder soars carefree
Gracefully gliding through the lands
Imparting to the world non-conformity
Indifferent to Time’s moving sands

No work, just play, all night, all day
No laws, no regulations, no bans
No deadlines, no endless bills to pay
No motives, no obligations, no plans

Monarch of all Neverland is he
In the clouds, his throne he ascends
Where everything else is superfluity
We all want to be Peter Pan
